One-Pot Pasta

This recipe is good when you don't want to spend so much time in the kitchen, but you are still considering a very decent meal.

  • shell shaped pasta (but you can use your pasta of choice)
  • yellow bell pepper
  • fresh tomatoes (halved or quartered and dislodge the locular cavity along with the seeds)
  • arugula
  • basil
  • champignon mushrooms
  • olives
  • garlic
  • yellow onion
  • pepperoni
  • ham
  • granulated chicken bouillon
  • chili flakes
  • lemon pepper (lemon pepper is a seasoning made from granulated lemon zest and cracked black peppercorns.)
  • salt
  • garlic powder
  • butter
  • water
  • the laughing cow cheese spread
  • olive oil
  • fresh squeezed orange juice

Place all ingredients except the laughing cow cheese spread, olive oil and orange juice in the pot. Cover pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until pasta is al dente or until almost all the liquid has evaporated.

Remove from heat. You can already mix in the cheese spread while it's still hot and steamy. Stir and taste to adjust seasonings. You can add as much salt or pepper or as much of a spice or fresh herb if you like.

Don't forget to add a generous drizzle of olive oil and a squeeze of orange to perk up the pasta. Top with more fresh arugula or basil and peeled oranges. And we're done! 😀

Optional garnishes:
freshly minced garlic
freshly grated Parmesan cheese
